Really interesting stuff
2nd Nov 2008
Hello lovely people
And you think I spend my whole life writing a blog?
Wrong
Of course there is the free email series on interfaith holidays where I provide information on the religious holidays of a variety or religions ranging from Shinto to Heathens to Christians. Those of you wil have already subscribed to this series, will have noticed that you get the email with the datails the day before the religious holiday. This places you in a position where you know the background of special days for friends and colleagues. The other spin-off is that we question our own beliefs and rpactices, and we realise how much we have in common with a people that on the surface have different beliefs than we have. If you want to subscribe, simply visit the blog and enter your name and email address in the boxes.
I have also become involved in two other products that I find fascinating and really exciting.
Some people who read this blog believe in Jesus. I find Jesus to be an interesting historical character about whom a lot has been written, and it is not always easy to separate the myth from the truth. Early next year the movie The Aquarian Gospel will be released. You can bet that statements made or reflected in the movie will create much controversy and organised religion will probably be up in arms about the movie. If you want to know early on what the fuss is about, here is a very interesting book that you may want to read. I spent a few months editing the book and found it quite stimulating.
Most of you will have heard by now about The Secret and the Law of Attraction. It all sounds great and logical when you watch the movie The Secret, but how do you actually apply all of this in practice and get results? I have found a book that makes it all astonishingly simple. Listen to this review:
If you like it, visit this website and get yourself a copy of this amazing book.
One last thing: I have the oportunity to publish a collection of blog postings on CD, as Christmas gifts for people that do not have access to the internet, but can listen to a CD or enjoy reading. Due to various constraints there will be only 150 copies of this CD. I am giving first preference to regular readers of my blog.
If you are interested in getting a copy of the blog postings (the price will be in the region of $20 + postage), please send me an email to elsabe@mypurpleblog.com and indicate whether you would like to buy the product as a PDF book or as a collection of MP3 recordings. I need to have all the orders in by 12 November to be in time for Christmas, and the CDs will be strictly available on a first come, first served basis.
If you are not interested in any of these products, please feel free to forward the posting to anyone that you may believe would be interested.
I will be away for a while, and there will not be any postings for the next week.
Keep those comments coming
Love and Light
Elsabe
